Federal Capital Prosecutions

Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3005, a person charged with a federal capital offense is entitled to the appointment of two attorneys, at least one of whom shall be learned in the law applicable to capital cases.  Pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3599, if necessary for adequate representation, more than two attorneys may be appointed to represent a defendant in such a case.
