Lauri Thompson attended the University of Idaho from 1993-2000, obtaining a B.S. in Political Science and a J.D.. Lauri began her legal career as a Law Clerk at the Idaho Supreme Court for Justices Cathy R. Silak and Gerald F. Schroeder. In 2001, she started a one-year clerkship for United States District Judge Edward J. Lodge and never left, becoming a career law clerk in 2001. Lauri transitioned to serve as a career law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Candy W. Dale from July 4, 2019 to April 1, 2022. Lauri is currently the career law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Debora K. Grasham. Outside of work, Lauri enjoys spending time with family and friends, running in the foothills with her dog Loki, biking, and skiing.
