To file court documents electronically with the U.S. Courts - District of Idaho, you will
need to complete the following steps;
Step 1. Register for a PACER account at the PACER
Service Center to establish billing information. NOTE: If you only need to query court case documents you can stop here. Your PACER account will provide you access to the Court's database for accessing records.
Step 2. Click here to register for a Court Electronic Case Filing (ECF) account. (You must be registered for your ECF account before you sign up for a class or complete the on-line certification test)
Step 3. Review the following documents;
a. Electronic Case Filing Overview
b. Electronic Case Filing
Procedures
c. Local Bankruptcy Rule 5003.1 and/or Local
District Rule 5.1
d. General Order #187 -
Provisions Relating to Electronic Case Filing.
Step 4. Select ONE of the following training options;
NOTE: If you indicated on the registration form completed in Step 2 that you are an existing filer with another district court and have completed their training requirements, you will not be required to complete training requirements for this district. You are required to review the local rules, procedures and general order identified in Step 3
Option 1. Attend a court sponsored hands-ontraining class.

Option 2. Complete an on-line test.

The test is a 25-question multiple-choice test taken from the required
reading documents and on-line tutorials.
The test will be graded after submission and the results immediately displayed to you. The attorney's official court ECF login and password will
be emailed upon successful completion of the test. If you do not pass the test you can re-take it at any time.
